At up//root, we’re committed to disrupting the status quo of knowledge production. The editors have developed the following documents to support writers who are considering publishing with us:

  • The Submissions Toolkit is intended to support your writing process with framing questions, a checklist, and other resources. This document also contains an outline of the steps to expect during the submissions & publication process.

  • The BIPOC Citation Guide includes several resources on the politics of citation. up//root is a publishing space by and for BIPOC, and as such our ethos is to cite Black, Indigenous and People of Color exclusively.
